Electric Guitars
The electric guitar has existed almost as long as the acoustic and classical guitar. In fact, the electric guitar was created only 70 years ago (1930) by Adolph Rickenbacker. Since then, the electric guitar has evolved considerably to what is now. In this article we review the history of the electric guitar.
The History
Guitars, or similar instruments, have been around for thousands of years. The electric guitar was made for the first time in 1930 by Rickenbacker. Original electric guitars used tungsten pellets. Buses basically convert the vibration of the strings into electric current, which is then fed into the amplifier to produce sound.
At the earliest electric guitars soundhole appears smaller in the body. These guitars are known as semi-hollow body electric guitars are still somewhat popular today, mainly because they are flexible guitars.
However, with the use of pills was possible to create without soundhole guitars (such as acoustic and classical guitars have) that still had the ability to be heard, if connected to amplifiers. These guitars are called solid body electric guitars.
The popularity of the electric guitar began to increase during the Big Band era of the 30 and 40. Due to the intensity of the wind sections in jazz orchestras, guitars was required to be heard above sections. Electric guitars can be connected to amplifiers, fills this gap.
The electric guitar is more frequent today is the solid body electric guitar. The solid body guitar was created by musician and inventor Les Paul in 1941. It is a solid wood guitar no soundhole. The original solid body guitar was created by Paul was very clear that a rectangular block of wood attached to a neck with six steel strings. Les Paul's original shaped solid-body guitar has, of course, changed the original rectangular shape in the more rounded Les Paul guitar are today.
During the 1950s, Gibson introduced the Les Paul Invention world. The Gibson Les Paul, as it was and still is called, quickly became a guitar popular power. It has remained the most popular guitar for 50 years.
Around the same time, another inventor, Leo Fender came up with Electric guitar solid body of hers. In the 1940s, Fender introduced the Fender Broadcaster guitar. The broadcaster, who spent to be called the Stratocaster, was formally presented to the public in 1954. The beginning, as we now know, was a guitar very different compared to the Les Paul. He had a differently to different hardware and was significantly lighter. Fender Stratocaster electric guitar from the guitar is the second most popular in the world, second only the Les Paul.
Over the years, other companies such as Ibanez, Jackson, Paul Reed Smith, ESP and Yamaha have produced solid body electric guitar of their own. However, most electric guitars remain the property of familiar shape of a guitar Les Paul or Start.
