Guitar Gig

Guitar Gig

When I was 14, I was in a band or what he thought, although we could not play anything. With two classmates in tow, we played once a week in my friend'place and indeed many of the strange sounds and not music we thought was incredible! But we were excited and loved the idea of be "rock stars."

We never thought about the act or anything serious, just continued to rehearse along with our 10-watt amp, when his was and we miss school. We had no idea how shit we were and thought I could play all the music. I did not understand he had to do some type of scale or the! I just strummed the guitar!

Finally, we found our way to the year 10 leavers office in the local memorial hall. In those days, always entertaining live. DJs did not really exist (yes, that long ago!) And so the bands were hired.

The group that was taking place was pretty lame playingsongs is not really suitable for a group of hormonally challenged adolescents. In fact, I recalled the scene in American Pie, where the group is doing a horrible rendition of "Do not you forget about me" and all the kids are bored.

A few friends at school I knew my friends and I had a band and suggested that we play. All of a sudden disappeared trust ourselves and got nervous. We are not ready, he said. We just play for fun. Fear entered all of us and none of us wanted to go.

However, next thing you know, the big kids playing soccer and sporting heroes came and told us we should play. We did not want too, but they insisted. We insist. Then they say "Get on stage or will be punched and heads in "like there was an option.

So with the prospect of the head and smashed his head loss of any degree of cold we thought we had, rolled onto the stage. Playing other people <a href="http://www.axebay.com"> used guitars </ A>, amplifiers and drums is similar to using some other body underwear just does not fit right! But we got there a way, ready to be booed off stage and into the dark recesses of the room. We played and the place went crazy and the whole world dancing and shouting and smiling. We thought "hey this is not so bad ", so we paid everything he knew. No one, especially us, seemed to care. Everyone loved it. We are moving ahead and moving forward. The children clapped hard and the girls smiled. My guitar solos is not yet in any scale or key, but well, there were a real band in a real stage! We suddenly too cool for school and the "what" thing at school.

I thought it was the pain turned out to be impressive and ended being a concert with the other band. It was the beginning of a long musical career that continues to this day.

This is a live album of 17 original songs performed and written by Bill Hicks–the fiddler and co-founder of the Red Clay Ramblers, NOT the deceased comedian of the same name. The songs range from witty to wry–reflecting life on the road and life in general. Bill plays guitar only (as it’s live and he’s not fast enough any more to grab the fiddle when the breaks come around)….
