The electric guitar was invented by a man of great talent when the name of Adolph Rickenbacker. The full installation first was in the 1930s, which was only a mere 70 years ago. Turning On the other hand, the classical guitar and acoustic guitar have been around for many centuries. There is evidence dating back to 1800 BC, showing the Gift of the guitars, or similar instruments. There is really no comparison between today's electric guitars and the past. The evolution of the electric guitar has been short of amazing. This article will give a brief history of the electric guitar.

Semi-hollow body are what is known as the greatest guitars. They are called so because they had sound holes in the body of the guitar. This style of the guitar is still very popular today.

In the swing era came in the use of 30 and 40, the electric guitars became more popular. Plug the guitar into an amplifier would give much needed sound levels to be heard in the noisy environment of the bands.

A guy by the name Les Paul is an excellent musician, but if for some reason you do not know the name, is the inventor of the solid body electric guitar. Les Paul invented the solid body fist in 1941.

This type of guitar is made of one piece of wood and has no sound holes. You can simply connect to an amplifier and start thrashing. Original guitar Paul's first move was nothing to brag about. It was nothing but a rectangular body attached to the neck and six steel strings. However, a modern Les Paul is just one thing of beauty.

It was in the 50s who connected with Gibson Les Paul and Gibson introduced the Les Paul for the world. Since that day there was no turning back. The Les Paul Gibson has been a great success for over 50 years, and is considered the most popular selling electric guitar in the market. A very partial to Gibson's Slash from Guns N 'Roses.

Leo Fender soon became the next big thing in the solid-body guitars. Leo Fender invented the final presenter 40. The station was presented to the public in 1954, but instead of Broadcaster, which was named the Fender Stratocaster or Fender Start. The Fender Stratocaster was very different from that of Gibson in the fact of initial body had a different way, using different hardware, and was much lighter. Despite these differences, the Fender has become the second favorite guitar among musicians. Musicians like Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and many others play the Fender Stratocaster.
